Executive Director of the “My Step” Foundation Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Deputy Director Narek Adamyan visited Shirak Province’s city of Gyumri to join the beneficiary servicemen of the Program for Discovering the Professional Potential of War Veterans and watch a documentary devoted to the Program.
Before and after the war — the film is about the hardships that the servicemen overcame during the 44-day war and how they rediscovered their professional potential. After the viewing of the documentary, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Narek Adamyan talked to the beneficiaries of the Program and exchanged views on the course of the Program.
The Program was carried out in Shirak Province due to the large number of servicemen who were wounded during the 44-day war and the fact that Shirak Province has the highest level of unemployment in the Republic of Armenia. The aim of the Program was to contribute to the social-economic re-integration of servicemen from Shirak Province who became disabled as a result of the 44-day war, by fostering employment and the motivation to work.
