Within the framework of the “Horizons” educational program carried out on the initiative of the “My Step” foundation, training about curriculum was held today at the secondary school named after Mesrop Mashtots in Oshakan, which was attended by the principals and deputy principals of schools of Oshakan, Sasunik, Karin, Voskevaz, Voskehat and Agarak.
The training was taught by Gevorg Hakobyan, the deputy principal of the “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex. The topic was about the features of the state educational standard and the process of organizing the choice of a free component of students. The meeting was also attended by the director of the “My Step” foundation Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the deputy director Narek Adamyan and the head of the “Horizons” program, historian Vahram Tokmajyan.
“The foundation has started developing a new educational model in the field of general education, obviously through joint efforts with the educational community. According to the “Horizons” educational program, aimed at the development of human capital, we plan to create an exemplary and applicable model for the general education system, which will be based on the individual abilities of each young man and the characteristics and capabilities of the community.”- noted Mkhitar Hayrapetyan in his welcoming speech.
The “Horizons” educational program is aimed at creating a new and achievable model of dual education in the field of general education, targeting the regional settlements of Armenia.
The program will allow students to obtain new skills and abilities, to work in professional fields, by ensuring their own financial and economic stability and promoting their own professional growth.
