“Neruzh” Diaspora Startup program
About the program
The Neruzh is a diaspora tech startup program, which aims to propel the ecosystem of technological initiative in Armenia simultaneously promoting repatriation and the involvement of pan-Armenian potential and capabilities in the processes of economic development of Armenia.
The program envisages inviting Armenian representatives from different countries with innovative startup ideas to Armenia providing them with financial and other forms of assistance to establish and develop technology companies in Armenia.
As a consequence of the program, it is expected to provide favorable conditions for beneficiaries to do business, to develop the ecosystem of technological startups in Armenia, as well as to encourage professional repatriation.
The program will be accomplished in 2022 through collaborative efforts of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the “My Step” foundation.
The program is open for representatives of the Armenian diaspora who have startup ideas with innovative and technological solutions and in case of receiving a grant are ready to repatriate to Armenia to establish a company and to engage in economic activities.
The program evaluation phase will be held after summarizing the applications, and the successful participants will be invited to Armenia to take part in five-day events and the grant competition.
The participants of the grant competition will submit their business ideas to the Professional Competition Committee. The winning groups will be selected based on the results of the evaluation of the committee. The winners will be awarded grants to register a company and to implement the ideas in Armenia.
Within a few months after finishing the event, business acceleration programs will be organized and various professional consultations will be provided for the winners.
