Program in Armavir and Lori provinces
About the program
The second stage of the Program for Discovering the Professional Potential of War Participants was held in Armavir and Lori Provinces, and among the participants from both provinces were 41 servicemen who acquired disabilities in consequence of the 44-day war. An orientation camp organized in Jermuk helped draw up personal growth plans for all the participants, and, taking this as a basis, 19 war participants attended vocational training courses in the following areas: accounting, social media marketing, programming, 3D modeling, event management, foreign languages, etc.
Alongside the vocational training courses, 32 beneficiaries of the Program also took part in a business planning and administration course, which helped them develop their respective business plans. The “My Step” Charitable Foundation has approved 27 of the submitted business plans and has implemented them with the support of partners in the following areas: livestock farming, apiculture, greenhouse economy, furniture manufacturing, photo shoots, dried fruits production, stores specializing in computer equipment, auto maintenance, etc.
As a result of the vocational training courses, 5 war participants have been hired to work for various organizations, and another 27 have started engaging in entrepreneurial activities.
All participants of the Program have also been provided with psychological support.
