“Horizons” in Armavir and Aragatsotn Provinces

During the 2022-2023 Academic Year, the “Horizons” Dual Education Program was piloted in the winemaking and viticulture sectors for 9^th-12^th graders in 11 settlements (Sasunik, Karin, Oshakan, Voskevaz, Voskehat, Agarak, Dasht, Shahumyan, Doghs, Amberd and Aghavnatun) of Armavir and Aragatsotn Provinces. The Program saw a turnout of up to 300 participants.

Through the Program, the learners gained basic professional knowledge and skills in the areas of viticulture, winemaking, wine marketing and wine tourism and were introduced to the processes of viticulture and winemaking, starting from the cultivation of grapevines and ending with the production and sale of wines. They combined their theoretical knowledge with hands-on activities at wine factories, and this will assist them in professional orientation in the future.

The Program was developed as modules for providing basic knowledge. The modules were distinguished by units that were as specific as possible, and this is required in order to make sure teaching for groups is carried out smoothly.
