“Economically sustainable families” initiative

The aim of the “Economically Sustainable Families” initiative of the “MY STEP” Charitable Foundation is to foster the agricultural capacity development and development of a business mindset of the families forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh in 2023, as well as to help them become economically sustainable in the particular settlement, become integrated into the particular province and community and permanently settle in the Republic of Armenia.

Through a grant provided by the Government of Cyprus, the “MY STEP” Charitable Foundation will provide 250 square meter greenhouses to 20 families having settled in three communities of Aragatsotn Province of the Republic of Armenia (Ashtarak, Talin and Aparan) and four communities of Lori Province of the Republic of Armenia (Spitak, Alaverdi, Pambak and Stepanavan).

The “Economically Sustainable Families” initiative is set to kick off on 1 November 2024 and will end on 1 May 2025.

The selected 20 beneficiary families will be provided with furnished greenhouses, as well as seeds and seedlings to start working in the greenhouses.

The establishment of these greenhouses will foster the economic sustainability of the beneficiary families in the two provinces, the creation of additional jobs and the development of agriculture in the communities.
