Programs: Cultural programs and initiatives
About the program
Culture is one of the cornerstones of national identity, shaping a society’s values, traditions, and collective consciousness. Its development and preservation are crucial in ensuring the continuity of heritage and artistic expression, creating a high-quality, forward-thinking society. Through cultural programs, national identity is not only protected but also transmitted across generations, ensuring that each new wave of Armenians remains deeply connected to their roots.
Beyond heritage preservation, culture plays a profound role in education and personal development. By fostering creative and critical thinking, cultural initiatives bring young people closer to art, literature, music, and intellectual discourse, enriching their perspectives and encouraging a spirit of tolerance and solidarity. Moreover, the economic impact of a strong cultural sector cannot be underestimated—festivals, exhibitions, and artistic events act as magnets for tourism, strengthening both local economies and international engagement.
Since its inception, the “My Step” Charitable Foundation has recognized the importance of culture as a pillar of national resilience and progress. With a firm commitment to its mission and values, the Foundation continues to initiate and support cultural projects, ensuring that Armenia’s rich heritage is safeguarded and shared with the world. Through exhibitions, festivals, and collaborative artistic initiatives, we create platforms for Armenian and international artists to connect with diverse audiences, fostering dialogue and appreciation for cultural excellence.
Within the framework of the cultural programs of the “My Step” Foundation, the “Cultural Journey in Armenia” initiative is currently being implemented. The program aims to introduce Armenia’s rich cultural heritage to children who have a great love for the arts but live in remote communities and, due to lack of accessibility, are often deprived of the opportunity to attend opera, ballet, theater, and other cultural events.
The program has an educational purpose and includes educational and entertaining visits to museums, theaters, opera, and ballet, fostering their cultural education and inspiring them in their journey of further learning and self-development.
At the end of the program, the children will fill out a short questionnaire, through which the effectiveness of the program and the knowledge gained from the cultural experience will be evaluated.
By investing in culture, we are not only preserving the past but also shaping the future, strengthening Armenia’s global presence and ensuring that our cultural identity thrives for generations to come.
