The “MY STEP” Foundation, attaching importance to the development of the arts and cultural life in Armenia and taking into consideration the positive impact that culture has on the shaping of a quality society, has provided support to a number of cultural initiatives, including the following:

“Alteration” – Through co-funding of the “MY STEP” Foundation, the “Armat Community Contemporary Art” NGO hosted the “Alteration” Festival of Arts and Music, bringing together nearly 116 local, foreign and internationally recognized artists, including the most brilliant representatives of electronic music such as techno queen Nina Kravitz and living legend Ricardo Vilalobos. Nearly 30 artists of 3 generations showcased their works at a modern art exhibition held as part of the festival. The festival, which gathered nearly 3,000 visitors (including 2,000 visitors), was aimed at increasing the reputation of Armenia and creating a platform by providing the representatives of various branches of modern art with the opportunity to be presented under one roof.

“Sustainable Development of Culture and Tourism” – With the support and funding of the “MY STEP” Foundation, the “Sustainable Development of Culture and Tourism” NGO held the program for capacity-building of 31 State Non-Commercial Organizations (SNCOs) involved in cultural activities; the aim of the program was to transmit to the representatives of the SNCOs in the cultural sector the abilities for procurement of funds, as well as the skills in creating innovative cultural products and increasing recognizability among the public. The program consisted of 3 stages, and a series of courses devoted to capacity-building were held as part of the stages. The second stage of the program featured individual work with the SNCOs with the view to developing the development strategy of each SNCO, and the final stage was devoted to the development of qualitative and quantitative indicators for personal assessment in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia.

Acquiring the contrafagot musical instrument for the “Friends of Philharmonic Orchestra” NGO – By propagandizing classical music, the contrafagot musical instrument was acquired for the “Friends of Philharmonic Orchestra” NGO with the financial support of the “MY STEP” Foundation. The contrafagot forms an integral part of symphony music, and the Orchestra can best present the high values of Armenian performance art in both Armenia and abroad.

“Planet of Light” Festival for Mother and Child – In 2019, under the auspices of the “MY STEP” Foundation, the “Planet of Light” Festival for Mother and Child was held with the motto “Better Education and Healthy Future” in Armenia and abroad, with the view to promoting positive parenting and family health.

The “Planet of Light” Festival was aimed at providing parents with necessary information, and was also targeted at the upbringing and growth of a physically and mentally healthy child. During the event, the parents participated in free open lectures and interactive meetings during which they discussed issues related to positive parenting, psychological and physical violence against children and its consequences, the need for and good sides of breastfeeding, fathers’ involvement, the components of healthy pregnancy, neonatal care and many other issues. The focus of the discussions was on speaking out about the problems of children’s inclusion and the protection of women’s and children’s rights. The guests also took part in courses devoted to painting, pottery, dance, handicraft, doll making and other courses. Well-known and beloved public figures read fairy tales for the children in a unique library environment.
