Proceeding from the situation created as a result of the large-scale war that Azerbaijan unleashed against the Republic of Artsakh on 27 September 2020, the military-economic, social and humanitarian consequences of the war and the needs conditioned by this, during a session held on 20 November 2020, the Board of Trustees of the “My Step” Foundation made a decision to make the transition to the implementation of humanitarian programs. Through the “Response to the Artsakh War” Program, the Foundation geared all of its resources towards overcoming the crisis.
- AMD 511,690,000 was transferred to the National Foundation for Servicemen’s Insurance
- 39,900 blankets, 26,110 packages of bed accessories, 4,000 jackets, 5,000 bath towels, 5,000 face towels and 10,000 kitchen towels were provided to the Ministry of Labor, Social and Housing Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh
- 100 blankets and bed accessories were provided to the families from Artsakh who have taken shelter at Mission Armenia NGO
- 194 pieces of equipment were provided to the lodgings in which the families from Artsakh have taken shelter (the lodgings are under the subordination of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia)
- A free-of-charge bakery was opened in Stepanakert for one month in order to provide food to the displaced persons of Artsakh twice a day (6,767 visitors)
- Packages of domestic and hygienic products (based on the criteria developed by the United Nations and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs) were provided to 100 pregnant women and 100 children between the ages of 0 and 6 having temporarily settled in the Republic of Armenia
- Psychological support, teaching of arts and the latest technologies and cultural events were organized for displaced families, as well as the families of those who fell in the war and insecure families
- Tickets to New Year’s plays and gift packages were provided to nearly 5,000 children (between the ages of 6 and 12) of families of servicemen who fell in the war, were injured, are missing or were captured during the war and of displaced families
- In Dilijan, a two-day New Year’s educational and entertaining event was held for nearly 1,500 children from Artsakh and Dilijan
- Packages of school accessories were provided to 415 children from Artsakh who have taken shelter in Syunik and Vayots Dzor Provinces
- A freezer was provided to the Ruben Yolyan Hematology Center for blood storage
- Support was provided to “Kayl Tech” LLC to launch local production of devices designed for rehabilitative treatment
Let us mention that the “My Step” Charitable Foundation didn’t organize any fundraiser during the war. All the proposals for donations addressed to the Foundation were forwarded to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
