Increasing and deepening interest in natural sciences is of primary significance for Armenia’s education system. Education is also one of the pivotal directions of the “My Step” Charitable Foundation, and for this reason, the Foundation has assumed the commitment to support the establishment of laboratories in educational institutions of the country’s provinces.
The “My Step” Foundation continues to provide different types of laboratory equipment to higher education institutions and general education institutions. This time, laboratory equipment for physics and chemistry classes was provided to High School #2 in Kapan.
It is no secret that those who study natural sciences have a better understanding of the subjects when it’s time to work on hands-on activities — something that several schoolchildren are deprived of due to the lack of a school laboratory. The previous consignments of equipment, which are already being used in a number of schools in the provinces, have yielded results (teachers say the children have started studying natural science subjects harder and are more interested in physics and chemistry).
Besides the laboratory equipment for the physics and chemistry classes, High School #2 in Kapan has also been provided with tents to organize educational field trips.
