On 1 April 2024, Executive Director of the “My Step” Foundation Anna Hakobyan received founders of “Tshakhruk” non-governmental organization Anna and Anahit Mkhitaryans and Head of Kharberd Specialized Orphanage Harutyun Balasanyan.

Kharberd Specialized Orphanage houses the “Tshakhruk” Cultural Center and “Tshakhruk” Ethno Band in which the children of the Orphanage with special needs play music and perform songs.

Friend of the “Tshakhruks”, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan was also attending the meeting.

Founders of “Tshakhruk” non-governmental organization Anna and Anahit Mkhitaryans presented their new social initiative for the construction of “Tshakhruk” Coffee House.

According to Anahit Mkhitaryan, the Coffee House inter alia, will help create jobs for persons with features of physical and mental health from orphanages and families, parents with children with disabilities, etc. The Coffee House will also house an art studio that will host exhibitions and other cultural events.

According to the founders of the non-governmental organization, “Tshakhruk” Coffee House will become a bridge between persons with disabilities and society and will foster the re-socialization of persons with special needs.

 The opportunities for implementation of the initiative and the “My Step” Foundation’s assistance to the initiative were considered during the meeting.
