On March 13 and 14, the Board of Trustees of the “My Step” Charitable Foundation held two extraordinary sessions to discuss the changes of Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Executive Director of the Foundation.
During the first extraordinary session, by the unanimous decision of the members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan was elected Chairperson of the Board.
The change of Executive Director of the Foundation was considered during the March 14 session and, upon the recommendation of the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and by the unanimous decision of the other members of the Board, Anna Hakobyan was appointed Executive Director of the Foundation.
Let us inform that before being appointed, Anna Hakobyan had discontinued membership of the Board of Trustees and had left the post of Chairperson of the Board vacant based on her application.
“After Mkhitar Hayrapetyan was appointed Minister, in order to make sure that the unobstructed implementation of the programs approved by the Board of Trustees of the “My Step” Foundation and the future regular activities of the Foundation are more effective, it is necessary for me to assume the obligations of Executive Director of the Foundation, by leaving the post of Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and discontinuing membership of the Board of Trustees. As Executive Director, I will have the opportunity to spend more time on implementation of programs, and the piloting of this model is aimed at adding something new to the Foundation. This will serve as an additional factor for ensuring visibility, accountability and transparency of our actions. I would like to thank the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for sharing this vision and trusting me to serve as Executive Director. I would also like to thank Mkhitar Hayrapetyan for assuming the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees. Alongside the ensuring of effective implementation of the ongoing programs, we will try to launch new strategic programs. Again, I am thankful to all the contributors of the Foundation,” Anna Hakobyan said as she commented on her discontinuing chairmanship and membership of the Board of Trustees and being appointed Executive Director of the Foundation.
