The “My Step” Foundation, attaching importance to the development of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines in the Republic of Armenia, views equipping higher education institutions and general education schools of the country with laboratory equipment as one of the primary preconditions for those disciplines, allowing learners to reinforce their theoretical knowledge in practice.
By strengthening its cooperation with the Armenian National Agrarian University, the “My Step” Foundation has donated physics and chemistry laboratory kits and equipment to the University and its branch in Sisian.
On November 17th, International Students’ Day, the Sisian branch of the University solemnly opened the physics laboratory with an event that was attended by head of the enlarged Sisian community and during which the students conducted their first demonstrative experiments.
“Rearming the science laboratories with equipment was one of the priority objectives of the Sisian branch, and today, it is safe to consider the issue solved thanks to the laboratory kits and equipment donated by the “My Step” Foundation. I am certain that the lessons of physics, as well as the related subjects and the hands-on exercises with the modules will be organized more effectively,” Head of the Education Unit of the Sisian branch of the University Meri Yolyan stated.
Let us remind that the “My Step” Foundation and the Armenian National Agrarian University are jointly carrying out the “Horizons” Dual Education Program (with the “Agro-technology” component) in Syunik Province.
