Alumnus of the Informatics and Applied Mathematics Faculty at the Armenian-Russian University Vazgen Safaryan is continuing his studies through the “Quanta” Master’s Degree Program in Quantum and Mesoscopic Physics.
“I decided to learn about quantum physics when I found out that it is a modern area in science. I believe each of us has to do something for homeland development, and this also means making our contributions to the development of science,” Vazgen said.
Vazgen is studying and working and believes that, in this sense, the “Quanta” Program is effective and flexible (the classes are organized in such a way that he has the chance to work and receive a quality education).
“I work in the pharmaceutical industry and mainly inspect data with the data obtained from new drugs. I hope certain theories of quantum physics are applied in the pharmaceutical industry in Armenia as well and Armenia succeeds in becoming one of the leading countries in the industry,” he stated.
According to the student, Armenia has great potential for development of quantum physics, and this development can be ensured by tapping into human potential through the “Quanta” Program.
“First and foremost, this Program helped give a clear answer to the question about quantum physics. When you understand what quantum physics is about, you can formulate the problems correctly. What motivates me is the fact that guest lecturers from different countries will be giving lectures through the Program and the fact that the top students will have the opportunity to participate in the scientific activities,” the student said.
Vazgen Safaryan emphasizes that he pictures his future in the homeland and will invest his knowledge in Armenia’s advancement.
