The Monaco-based “Children and Future” Association has allocated EUR 13,317 to the “My Step” Foundation for construction of a greenhouse-hothouse for the H. Navasardyan Secondary School in Amberd village of Armavir Province through the “Horizons” Dual Education Program.

The “Horizons” Dual Education Program has helped develop, as well as introduce in general education institutions a new educational model that provides learners with the opportunity to gain new skills and strengthen professional capabilities by combining practice with the theoretical knowledge gained in school. Construction of the greenhouse will give learners the chance to become familiar with the organizing of cultivation of crops, plant breeding and greenhouse economy through practical courses.

Out of the schools of beneficiary communities of the “Horizons” Dual Education Program, which was carried out in 2022 and is being carried out in 2023, the secondary school in Amberd village was selected for construction of a greenhouse. Beekeeping, dried fruit production, wood processing and sewing/craft clubs also operate at the school in Amberd.
