The head of the “Quanta” program Gevorg Meliksetyan and its scientific director Hayk Sargsyan visited the “Close-up” broadcast of “My radio FM 103.8”.
The head of the master’s degree program in quantum and mesoscopic physics of the “My Step” foundation Gevorg Meliksetyan and the scientific director of the program Hayk Sargsyan on the air of the “Close-up” broadcast told how the foundation of the “Quanta” program was laid. The “Quanta” master’s program in quantum and mesoscopic physics will offer education of a completely new quality and format. The program management team presented who can apply for the program and talked about the details of the upcoming events (the conference and the Olympiad) before the start of the master’s program.
The program management team noted that the young people who have at least a bachelor’s degree in the fields of
- physics
- chemistry
- mathematics
- engineering
- information technology
and have a threshold level of English can apply for the “Quanta” master’s degree program in quantum and mesoscopic physics.
The start of the academic year of the “Quanta” master’s degree program in quantum and mesoscopic physics is scheduled for September 2022.
The management team noted the importance of the fact that students who will succeed to study for the “Quanta” master’s degree program in quantum and mesoscopic physics will have the opportunity to be involved in the working process of the world’s leading scientific centers.
Those enrolled in the master’s program within the framework of the “Quanta” will listen to Armenian scientists from leading foreign universities. The training of the program will be completely free of charge; tuition fees for enrolled students will be covered by the foundation. Education will be organized through lectures, practical works, seminars and laboratory classes.
During the presentation of the program, the management team also talked about the agenda of upcoming events in April, such as the conference and the Olympiad.
In order to identify potential participants of the program, a scientific conference will be held on April 3-5 from 09:00 to 17:00 at the Holiday Inn Hotel (Yerevan, Republic Square, Tarson Hall, address Amiryan 2), at which students will represent presentations in 10 minutes on their research in the field of nuclear and quantum physics, computer science, optics and electronics, or review papers devoted to modern research in these areas. The authors of the best reports will receive monetary rewards.
On April 12, from 10:00 to 14:00, the Olympiad will be held at the Holiday Inn hotel (Yerevan-Republic Square, Artashat Hall, address: Amiryan 2) within the framework of the above topics. The authors of the best results will receive monetary rewards.
The students who take the first three places at the Olympiad and conference will be awarded in the “My Step” foundation on April 17, at 14:00.
